Catechesis
Teaching the catholic faith.
The word “catechesis” simply means instruction in the universal (or “catholic”) Christian faith. Through studying and learning God’s Word, we are made wise unto salvation, given the comfort of the Gospel, and equipped for service to our neighbors in our vocations.
Beginning Monday, October 20 at 6:00 pm, First Lutheran is hosting a new kind of catechesis hour—one that’s perfect for inviting friends and neighbors. We’ll start with coffee, cookies, and relaxed conversation, then spend 20–30 minutes exploring the basics of the Christian faith from a Lutheran perspective. Each evening leaves plenty of time for questions and fellowship.
